    Trainer: Bryan Stiles
    Bryan is the former deputy CEO of HSBC China and Head of Audit for HSBC Europe. In his illustrious leadership career with HSBC, Bryan worked at senior leadership positions globally. Bryan will share stories on how developed his leadership skills and some of the “war stories” of being at the top of the business. Bryan is known as an inspiring speaker who will really help you on your leadership journey.
    Trainer: Ellen Riches
    Ellen Riches has worked inthe area of prodfessional and personal development for over twenty five years.  Ellens has of designed and developed a wide range of soft skills programmes for prblic and private sector organisations including;   Fidelity Investments, Kroll,  Siemens and Brewin Dolphin.

    Ellen trained a session on Emotional Intelligence very recently for the Euromoney Management and Leadership in London and was highly acclaimed by the participants.

     

    Trainer: Grant Metcalfe-Smith
    Grant brings a combination of long and successful front-line leadership experience in international financial institutions (investment banks and development institutions), strong financial expertise, recent masters-level studies in coaching, psychology, leadership and a passion for training and education.
    Until August 2021 he was in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (‘EBRD’) leading teams and delivering a wide range of multi-industry client solutions (loans, debt, equity capital markets and derivatives) across 38 emerging markets. Grant worked closely with the EBRD’s CRO and CFO as advisor and subject matter expert for the Bank’s Treasury department, capital markets, local currency finance, derivatives and client education activities.
    Grant has successfully built businesses in banks and diverse teams in Europe and a common thread in his work is leading and coaching talented, client-facing professionals in navigating uncertainty and with a focus on growth.

    Creating Strategic Alignment in the Organisation: Organisational co-ordination

    Practical Exercise: Team will build a performance pyramid for the organisation

     

    Session 4
    Management Simulation

    A management structure (3 managers) is agreed amongst the participants and observers are assigned to each manager. (The rest of the participants are team members) A number of tasks are given tty to thwo the senior manager to be completed within a fixed timescale. Observers monitor the style and communication of the 3 managers during the whole exercise.

    During the debriefing session, managers, observers, team members and the course director will give their assessment of the performance of the tasks and their feelings on the management style

    Situational Leadership 

    The ability to manage people in differect situations according to:

    • Their maturity in the task
    • Different personalities

    • Reducing the “Silo Mentality” in the organisation using Lencioni’s five dysfunctions of a team model

     

    Major Exercise: A high energy “teaming” game will be played by the executive team. Some delegates will play the C-suite team, middle managers and individual contributors. The game will be based around rapidly forming teams, executing strategy and collaboration.

    After the exercise the facilitators will feedback on what their observations were? What do we do as an executive team well? What do we need to change so we can encourage more collaboration across the organisation?

    Session 3
    Understanding Your Psychometric Profile and that of your Team
    • All delegates will have complete a psychometric tool
    • During the course, the facilitators will give feedback on the overall behavioural profile of these styles
    • Individuals reveal their behavioural profile to each other on course
