FX people moves: BNP hires in London, reorganizes in Paris

New appointments: Peter Snasdell and Peregrine Hood. Meanwhile in Paris, the bank set up a dedicated central bank and official institutions desk on 1 June.

BNP Paribas has made two appointments to its London FX sales team and reorganized its financial institutions FX sales team in Paris. Peter Snasdell and Peregrine Hood, who started at the beginning of June, report to Miranda Royston, head of FX sales to hedge funds in London. They started at the bank in June 2007. Snasdell was previously at ABN Amro, where he worked in its hedge fund/institutional sales team. Hood joins from the independent financial services company, Bridport & Cie in Geneva, where he was a sales trader specialising in fixed income products and portfolio management since 2003. Before that, he spent two years at Merrill Lynch in London, as an associate in the private wealth services group, covering clients in Europe and the Middle East.

Meanwhile in Paris, the bank set up a dedicated central bank and official institutions desk on 1 June. The team is now split geographically and covers clients globally, in both FX and short-term interest rate products. Carole Lambert reports into Francois Boisson, European head of FX sales to institutions, as well as Alistair Mullen, European head of frequent user rates.
