HSBC loses an eFX sales head

An eFX sales head has left HSBC and is believed to be joining BNP Paribas.

Lisa Danino-Lewis, who had been at HSBC since 2005, was head of eFX sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and is set to take up a similar role with the French bank. Previously, Danino-Lewis was a director at FXall from 2001 to 2004, and prior to that she was head of FX corporate and options sales at Bank of America.

Danino-Lewis follows the same path as her former colleague Adrian Boehler, who quit as head of EMEA FX sales at HSBC last year to join BNP Paribas as global head of institutional sales.

BNP Paribas came 11th in last year’s Euromoney FX Poll and earlier this year unveiled Cortex FX, a new single-dealer platform, as part of an effort to boost its market share and improve its ranking.
