Société Générale’s head of FX trading leaves

Société Générale’s co-head of global FX trading based in New York, has left the firm, according to three people familiar with the situation.

O’Sullivan, who shared the position with Richard Bailey, joined SocGén from UniCredit in March 2010, where he was head of FX trading. In August, O’Sullivan relocated to New York from London. According to two sources who spoke to EuromoneyFXNews, O’Sullivan might be heading to investment bank Jefferies, which is believed to be building up its FX team.

SocGén declined to comment.
