FX people moves: DB sells into Nordics

Deutsche Bank announced on Monday the creation of a dedicated FX sales team in the Nordic region.

The team will be based in Stockholm, providing a multi-product service covering all institutional, sovereign, public sector, corporate and mid-cap clients in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.

The new team adds to DB’s local Nordic operations based in Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki.

The team – Tommy Rolke (ex head of FX at Swedbank), Martin Hessle (ex SEB), Peter Odefalk (ex FX sales at Nordea) and Henrik Svensson (ex FX strategist at Nordea) – started this week.

Zar Amrolia, global head of foreign exchange says: “Foreign exchange is a local business with a global product. As the world’s leading FX bank, we aim to provide our clients with the most comprehensive and sophisticated local coverage.

“We are pleased that Tommy and the team will be joining us to do this. He and his team will offer clients a direct and personalised service that takes advantage of synergies across client segments.”
