FX people moves: New finance director in line at Icap

Icap will have a new group finance director after Matthew Lester announced that he is leaving for Royal Mail Group next month as their chief financial officer.

Subject to FSA approval, Icap will appoint Iain Torrens to replace Lester. Torrens has been group financial controller at Icap since 2008 and was previously CFO at CP Ships.

Michael Spencer, group CEO at Icap, says: “I would like to thank Matthew for his strong contribution to Icap over the last four years and wish him all the very best with his next endeavour. I would also like to welcome Iain to the senior management team. Iain brings business leadership, financial acumen and a deep knowledge of the business to the role. We are looking forward to working together as we continue to strengthen and grow our business and deliver long-term shareholder value.”
