FX debate: Making the most of a benign environment


Jeremy Armitage (JA) is a senior managing director and global head of research at State Street Global Markets and is based in London. This global team is renowned for research in investor behaviour and portfolio & risk management.

Andrew Bound (AB) is managing director and head of fundamental currency at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He has been a member of GSAM’s fixed income and currency group since January 1999, before which he was a currency trader at Goldman Sachs.

Alan Eisner (AE) is head of Millennium Global Investments’ currency trading team for G7 and emerging foreign exchange markets. He leads the firm’s tactical trading efforts and shares responsibility for the strategic investment themes with the chief investment officer.

Chico Khan-Gandapur (CK-G) is a managing director at Société Générale, responsible for managing the sales teams for the bank’s rates and institutional foreign exchange businesses in Europe.





Keith McCann (KMc) is head of institutional FX for Westpac in the UK and Europe. Westpac has long been rated as the leading specialist bank to the investor and institutional market globally. Before joining Westpac, he was a director for ANZ in New York.

Pierre Lequeux (PL) is an executive director at ABN Amro Asset Management. As head of currency management, Pierre is responsible the development of the currency investment process and the implementation of AAAM active currency policy.

Richard Longmore (RL) is a managing director and head of European FX sales at Barclays Capital based in London. He joined the company in August 2006 from Merrill Lynch, where he was a managing director and head of EMEA FX sales.



Xavier Porterfield (XP) is global head of research sales at FX Concepts responsible for research subscriptions. He also provides clients with technical trading strategies within the EMEA region.

David Tien (DT) is head of FX research at Fischer Francis Trees & Watts and is responsible for managing the systematic FX trading effort as well as developing new quantitative approaches to FX and fixed income investing.

Brian Tomeo (BT) is a managing director and head of FX sales for EMEA at JPMorgan. He was previously head of derivatives sales for Latin America. He has been with JPMorgan and its predecessor firms since 1994.

Matt Thomas (MT) is head of electronic FX client services at RBS. Matt has recently transferred to London from RBS Greenwich Capital to implement a new suite of client products from vanilla FX to algorithmic services.
