Best Managed Companies in Latin America 2012: Methodology
Euromoney’s seventh Latin American company ranking is based on a survey of market analysts at leading banks and research institutes in Latin America. Respondents were asked to nominate the top three companies in each of the countries or sectors they covered, bearing in mind market strength, profitability, growth potential, quality of management and earnings.
Points were awarded on a scale of four, three, two for first, second and third-place nominations respectively. Companies’ results are presented as a percentage of total points received in each category, together with the number of companies that received points in each category.
A number of other countries and industry sectors were included in the survey, but did not receive enough responses to be published.
We received 107 valid responses in 2012.
