Dresdner Kleinwort names Listorti as new head of FICC

After the defection of three of its key FX staff to Merrill Lynch, Dresdner Kleinwort has acted quickly to try to instil some stability into the business unit and announced Eddie Listorti as its new head of fixed income, currencies and commodities (FICC).

Listorti transfers to London from Singapore, where he was Dresdner Kleinwort’s head of capital markets for non-Japan Asia. His appointment has not come in time to prevent Merrill poaching a further three staff. Options traders John Underwood, Rahan Qureshi and Aaron Davies have all left and will start at Merrill in January 2007.

One market source says: “These guys should have the brain power to build a decent platform at Merrill. Aaron was very up to date with FX options mathematics. He was building JPM (his previous employer before Dresdner) a new smile model and a relative value toolkit.”
