FX people moves: Mellon and BoNY – Canary Wharf? No thanks

Talk is that Barry Griffiths and Andrew Dovey opted to leave Mellon rather than travel to Canary Wharf.

I hear that my old mate Barry Griffiths has decided not to make the move to Canary Wharf following the merger between Mellon and Bank of New York. I worked with Barry at two different institutions, but almost unbelievably I don’t think we spent more than 10 days together in the same company. He was a spot dealer at Mellon and is believed to have volunteered for redundancy when it was offered. Talk is that Andrew Dovey also opted to leave Mellon rather than travel to Canary Wharf.
