I expected a ‘no comment’ response, but Deutsche confirms its veracity.
I’ve now started to ponder on how much Autobahn is contributing to Deutsche’s bottom line. I understand that the bank manages to internalise a huge amount of the flow seen on Autobahn – perhaps as much as 85%. I also have a rough idea of how much the bank makes per million. What I don’t know yet is what proportion of the business Deutsche sees is done on Autobahn. But I’m working on adding all the sums up and will report back in due course.
