The DJStoxx European Football Index has risen just 0.74% since the start of the quadrennial event. The index reached its highest point since the start of the event on June 16, the day Argentina beat Serbia & Montenegro 6-0; the Netherlands beat Côte d’Ivoire 2-1 and Mexico drew 0-0 with Angola.
