CME hires new global head of banks sales

CME Group has hired a new head of global bank sales to manage the distribution of the exchange company’s full range of products, including FX contracts.

Kevin Collins joined CME earlier this month from RBS Securities, where he worked as head of North American prime services from September 2009 to September 2011. Collins began his career at Barclays Bank in New York City in 1993 as head of non-dollar futures and options sales for North America before joining Deutsche Bank’s New York operations in 1997.

He left Deutsche Bank in 2005 to work for broker Icap as head of futures and options for North America, leaving the company one year later to work for boutique investment firm Mannahatta Partners from January 2007 until August 2009.

Collins joins Malcolm Baker as a recent hire at CME.

Baker began working as CME’s director of FX products in London in October, reporting to senior director of FX products Will Patrick.

Baker joins CME from Source Capital, where he worked as a trader and strategist from January 2009 until February 2012.

He began his career in 1989 as an off-balance-sheet trader for the Bank of China in London.
