James Gething, who traded emerging market currency options at RBS, is believed to have been hired by JPMorgan, the people say. He resigned from RBS last week, but it is not known when he will start at JPMorgan. Gething joined RBS from Commerzbank in 2010, having been at Dresdner before the two banks were merged in May 2009.
JPMorgan declined to comment on his hire.
