BNP Paribas hires NY FX salesman from JPMorgan

BNP Paribas has hired an FX salesman for its institutional FX sales team in New York, a bank spokesperson confirms.

Rob Cox has been hired from JPMorgan in New York, and will report to Debra Solomon. At JPMorgan, he covered real money, hedge funds and corporate accounts. BNP Paribas was ranked 13th overall among North American hedge funds in this year’s Euromoney FX survey, with a market share of 1.52%, down from 2.18% the previous year. With North American real-money clients, the bank rose five places to 15th, as its market share grew from 0.95% to 2.25%.
