RBS’s head of Asia EM FX trading resigns

The head of Asia emerging markets (EM) FX trading at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has left the bank, according to people familiar with the matter.

Stuart Oakley, who had run EM Asia currency trading based in Singapore, left the bank last week after less than two years, the people say. Oakley was a regular pundit on Bloomberg TV and CNBC on Asian currencies. The sources say he has left to join a rival bank.

Oakley began his career at Credit Suisse as an EM FX trader in 1996, before moving to Barclays Capital in 2003.

RBS declined to comment.
