BAML hires new head of EM FX option trading

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired Guillaume Huteau to head its CEEMEA emerging markets FX options trading desk, a source tells EuromoneyFXNews.

Huteau will report to Alex Axentiv, head of CEEMEA Local Currency Trading.

Huteau left Credit Suisse in October, after the bank announced cost-saving targets that included a 4% headcount reduction. He spent more than 17 years at the Swiss bank, where he was most recently head of local markets FX options trading for EMEA and Latin America.

Huteau's career at Credit Suisse spanned quantitative research and EM fixed-income trading before moving into FX options and exotics, where he was instrumental in building up the bank’s franchise in EM FX options.
