FX people moves: Velsys takes Saxo Bank duo

FX dealing technology software provider Velsys has hired Rob Gray and Brian Kelly, both former colleagues at Saxo Bank.

Gray will develop business in the emerging markets of eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, while Kelly joins to lead product strategy.

Gray was most recently developing the Middle East markets for CMC Markets and previously led UK institutional sales at Saxo Bank.

Kelly was a vice-president of Saxo Bank and responsible for product development across the bank’s platforms.

Kevin Ashby, chairman and CEO of Velsys, says: “During this past year, Velsys has prepared the groundwork to support our expanding product set. With the addition of Rob and Brian, we are well positioned to start 2011 with sales and support coverage in each region, as well as articulating a clear vision for the development of our products.”
