FX people moves: New strategy team for Lloyds
Lloyds TSB is continuing to build up its team of strategists and economists. The latest appointment is Charlie Diebel as head of market strategy. New boys Adrian Schmidt and Tim McCullough join as FX strategist and technical strategist respectively. Both report to Diebel.
Diebel is a former head of rates strategy at Nomura; Schmidt was a currency analyst at C-view; and McCullough was a certified financial technician at BNP Paribas.
Diebel will lead the team of strategists to generate daily market analysis and in-depth views on currencies, fixed income and rates. He reports to Trevor Williams, Lloyds’ chief economist.
Williams says: “I’m delighted Charlie will lead our market strategy team. He and his team have a combined wealth of experience covering rates and currencies that will be invaluable to our clients. Developing our capabilities to produce leading analysis and insights into financial markets is an essential part of servicing the needs of our corporate and financial institutions clients.”
