Goldman Sachs has always set itself apart. And that goes for its people as well as its business. Somehow Goldman bankers just look different and sound different to those at other shops and are clearly worth protecting.
A recent visit to the bank’s Peterborough Court offices in London revealed the lengths that the bank is prepared to go to in order to do this. Bottles of hand sanitizer have been liberally distributed around the reception area in order to encourage the great unwashed of the capital to clean themselves before coming into contact with Goldman staff.
Unfortunately there seemed to be little take-up among the punters for the sanitizer, so the bank might have to ratchet up its vetting procedures a bit. Expect compulsory spot checks behind the ears and under the fingernails on your next visit.
