Structured products debate: New challenges in structured products

John Ferry (JF) is a contributor to Euromoney and other magazines, regularly covering the structured products and broader derivatives markets. His debut historical novel, After Omdurman, has recently been published by Robert Hale Publishing.

Albert Plattner (APl) is managing director, equity derivatives, at Citigroup. He is European head of structured product sales in Citi’s markets & banking division, based in the European headquarters in London. This group specializes in providing structured investment solutions for institutional investors, discretionary managers, private banks, advisers and retail distributors.

Andrew Popper (APo) is group chief investment officer for SG Hambros Bank Limited, with responsibility for teams that provide high-net-worth individuals with a comprehensive range of investment services, encompassing traditional and alternative asset classes.


George Challenor (GC) is a vice-president with Credit Suisse and responsible for investment strategy in multi-asset-class solutions at Credit Suisse Asset Management, London. He studied business administration at Bishop’s University in Quebec, Canada, and has a PhD in economics from the London School of Economics. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification and is a member of the CFA Institute and UKSIP.
