It was the CDO structurer wot dunnit!

Your average banker’s insatiable thirst for blood is one of the main reasons for the spectacular growth of financial markets in recent years. Now complementary industries are cashing in on this wolf-like appetite for the flesh of the departed.

UK company Progressive Resources, otherwise known as The Teambuilding Company, is offering one of its speciality murder mystery corporate entertainment events tailored to the financial sector. ‘Shocks and Scares’ is the story of a financial scandal within a high-profile family, and includes characters such as Seymour Deals and Fred Bare.

"Creating a team-building event specifically designed for the finance sector will hopefully fulfil all of their needs," says James Coakes, creator of Shocks and Scares. "The new murder mystery plot is full of twists and turns but also incorporates fun and humour."

The prospect of a grisly death followed by extensive analysis into the whos and whys appears to have everything a banker could want. Everything, that is, except the obvious question: "How can I benefit from this man’s demise?"

The format includes dinner, although rumours that the food is picked off a fresh carcass with bare hands while snarling are unconfirmed.
