Never mind the dogs, the Dom Perignon flows freely

Bucharest: who let the dogs out?

Just after the piece of masonry connected with the side of the mongrel's head, a showdown ensued outside Banca Agricola's administrative headquarters. The pack of dogs, which seconds earlier had been snarling at pedestrians and leaving their own special deposits on the bank's doorstep, stared at their attacker. The man who threw the missile glared back.

Onlookers glanced between the man and the dogs. Then canine teamwork kicked in. The mutt that had been clobbered let out a yelp and its five mates began growling and barking. It was difficult to know if the people on the other side of the street were shouting abuse at the dogs or at the dog's attacker. He wasn't waiting to find out. He had headed off with an irate pack in tow.

A banker from Banca Commerciala Romana tells a similar tale.
