ASEAN’s best transaction bank 2026: DBS

A company can centralise its ASEAN treasury in Singapore, but it cannot centralise away the banking rules of Indonesia, Vietnam or Malaysia. Different domestic payment systems, restrictions on moving cash and uneven access to trade finance make regional expansion more complicated than it looks on a map. DBS’s advantage is that it has built its transaction banking proposition around both sides of that problem: regional control and local execution.

Its win as ASEAN’s best transaction bank rests less on a single breakthrough than on the breadth of its cash, payments and trade capabilities, and how they work together as companies redirect investment and supply chains across Southeast Asia.

Putting regional cash to work

At the centre of DBS’s cash management proposition is a range of liquidity structures designed for different operating models.
