Awards for Excellence national winners 2026: Poland’s best for consumer lending – Soonly

Soonly’s performance in Poland in 2025 reflected a combination of sustained balance sheet growth, controlled credit risk and targeted product expansion that broadened access to consumer lending.

Lending volumes increased 11% year-on-year, supported by continued scaling of a digital underwriting model using behavioural data and open banking inputs. This enabled extremely high approval rates while maintaining a non-performing loan ratio of 4.5%. Processing remained highly automated, with disbursements typically completed within five minutes, reinforcing the shift towards fully digital, high-velocity lending.

Financial performance mirrored the firm’s operational expansion. Revenue rose to PLN433 million ($114 million) in 2025, representing growth of around 10% year-on-year, alongside growth in net loan receivables to PLN408 million. Profitability remained strong, with net income of PLN185 million.

Product development in 2025 centred on diversification beyond short-term microloans. The expansion of instalment lending through Viviraty increased the share of longer tenor loans, while the rollout of Patento introduced earned wage access as a non-traditional credit alternative. Together, these additions created a broader lending ecosystem spanning short-term liquidity, structured borrowing and salary-linked access.

Further product and platform enhancements focused on improving transparency and user control, including the rollout of real-time customer dashboards with automated payment notifications and dynamic cost recalculation for early repayment, alongside deeper integration of open banking tools to enable faster verification and fully paperless onboarding.

Customer metrics reinforced scale and retention. The platform reached more than 2.5 million registered users in 2025, issuing over a million loans during the year and achieving an net promoter score of 82.
