Middle East’s best investment bank for private markets 2026: FAB

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has established itself as the principal architect of the private credit market in the Middle East, a segment that – unlike its well-developed counterparts in the US and Europe – remains at an early stage of institutional maturity.

The bank’s strategy is rooted in a structural insight about the Gulf’s corporate landscape. While conventional bank lending at the operating company level has long been widely available to the region’s large family-owned enterprises, structured debt at the holding company level has historically been absent from local banks’ toolkits.
