Standard Bank Namibia wins the country’s best investment bank award, thanks to a combination of key financing deals supporting the local economy.
The bank engineered a N$1 billion ($56 million) debt funding structure for Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) amid Heineken’s acquisition of Distell Namibia and NBL. This strategic financial facility not only supported the transaction but is also poised to bolster future strategic and growth initiatives for NBL, reflecting Standard Bank Namibia’s capability to handle large-scale, complex financing arrangements.
When Rosh Pinah Zinc Corporation undertook a brownfield expansion project aimed at boosting its production capacity by approximately 86% upon completion, Standard Bank Namibia supported it with financing too. For this significant industrial uplift, known as “RP2.0”, Standard Bank Namibia orchestrated a comprehensive funding package amounting to $130 million.
Each of these cases illustrates Standard Bank Namibia’s strong market presence and its ability to mobilise substantial capital for transformative projects, solidifying its position as a leading investment bank in the region.
