Warsaw-headquartered online brokerage XTB achieved tangible progress towards its goal of becoming a pan-regional personal investment hub. Employing roughly 1,000 people at its Polish headquarters, the firm embraced a strategy that combines aggressive client acquisition with a steady broadening of its retail offering.
The platform accelerated new client onboarding after a high-profile marketing campaign fronted by footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović, helping it widen its active user base across CEE without losing traction in its historic CFD franchise.
“Before 2018 we were a completely different company – a CFD broker onboarding clients willing to take significant risk,” says head of XTB’s trading department Filip Kaczmarzyk.
