Asean’s best retail bank 2026: UOB

UOB’s integration of Citi’s consumer businesses in Asean has delivered a step change in its retail franchise since 2023, doubling its customer base to approximately 8.5 million and strengthening its position across key markets.

By 2025, this scale had enabled the bank to deliver a unified, market-leading regional proposition across payments, cards, deposits and wealth, while operating with the depth of a domestic franchise in each market.

At the centre of UOB’s Asean strategy is its TMRW platform, positioned as its unified banking interface across the region.
