HSBC continued to reshape its UK transaction banking business so that corporate clients deal with one joined-up offering, rather than with separate product lines. Speed, digitisation and less day-to-day work for treasury teams ran through that effort.
The bank advanced its real-time treasury capabilities with the introduction of its Tokenised Deposits Service, enabling corporate clients to transfer tokenised bank balances around the clock through a proprietary blockchain network. Accessible through treasury APIs, the service supports faster settlement and more flexible liquidity management.
HSBC also expanded Global Wallet, its multicurrency payments solution that is integrated into HSBCnet and the Digital Business Banking platform, allowing businesses to hold, send and receive foreign currencies without maintaining separate overseas accounts.
