In the article in the September issue of Euromoney entitled, "How
litigation became a priceless commodity," we referred to a civil RICO
action against BNP Paribas by Kensington International as: "What it all
adds up to could almost be characterized as blackmail against the French
bank." This was a mistake and we would like to clarify that Kensington
International, an affiliate of Elliott Associates, has at no stage
attempted or sought to blackmail BNP Paribas, and we apologise for any
confusion this may have caused.
