New CFO at O2 UK

O2 UK today announces that Ronan Dunne has been appointed to the position of CFO. Effective from this week, Ronan will report to the newly appointed CEO Matthew Key, who formerly held the CFO role. Previously he was head of finance at parent company mmO2.   Prior to joining mmO2, he has held senior financial positions in banking and the corporate sector, most recently as head of strategic finance and integration at Exel plc.

Ronan Dunne commented: ?The mobile services industry is a constantly evolving environment and O2 is in a strong position to face the challenges and opportunities of the future.  I am very much looking forward to my new role as CFO, developing and extending the financial performance of the business and aligning costs to customer value.?

Matthew Key added: ?Ronan's reputation within the company is well established and we are delighted to be able to announce his appointment to CFO from within the company.   With such a strong management team in place I have every confidence that we can continue to develop and successfully grow the business?.

Ronan is also a trustee of the mmO2 pension scheme and a non-executive director of Manx Telecom.  Ronan is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and a member of the ICAI Council.
