International law firm Allen & Overy has promoted five associates to partner in its global corporate practice, effective May 1, as part of a larger drive to strengthen the practice and expand globally.
Dirk Arts, based in Brussels, specialises in European and competition law. David Broadley, based in London, focuses on M&A. Khalid Garousha, based in Dubai, formerly worked in the London office. Bratislava-based Hugh Owen covers Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria, mainly doing corporate work but also active finance. And Ken Rivlin, based in New York, is also the head of A&O's US environmental law group.
Sixteen more partners will be added throughout Allen & Overy's network of offices, in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Bratislava, Brussels, Dubai, Germany, London, Moscow, New York, Phillipines and Tokyo.
