BoA appoints Mandell to head of global FX

Bank of America has named Christiane Mandell as the head of global foreign exchange for the company's global FX group, based in New York. Mandell gains the post following the recent merger between BoA and FleetBoston Financial. Mandell was formerly head of investor client management for equities and debt and will now report to Jonathan Moulds, head of liquid products at BoA.

"Chris's deep understanding of the institutional marketplace and its clients, her strong economic and analytics background, as well as her knowledge of the FX market make her an excellent leader to fill this key position," said Moulds.

Mandell is responsible for the global FX business which boasts 14 trading and research centres in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
