Best bank: ING Bank
ING Bank continued to consolidate its position as the Netherlands’ largest bank, using its home market as the proving ground for many of the group’s most ambitious commercial and sustainability initiatives.
Netherlands was a primary contributor to ING’s record mortgage volumes during the year, including the €7.2 billion of net new mortgage lending booked in the second quarter alone. A considerable share of this came from ING’s home market, where favourable housing market dynamics were a key structural boost for the franchise.
