The world’s best use of AI/ML in trading 2026: BTON

London-based fintech BTON took its AI broker selection engine across the Atlantic in 2025. It launched in the US in January and in August secured strategic investment from Celero Ventures to fund that expansion. Its technology now sits inside institutional trading desks’ workflows, integrated with execution management systems including Virtu Triton and InfoReach, with an integration with Broadridge under way.

The problem it solves is one every buy-side desk recognises. Firms spend heavily on transaction cost analysis (TCA), but most of that analysis ends up in a backward-looking report that tells traders what happened yesterday.
