JPMorgan has strengthened its FX payments business by bringing currency execution, payments and liquidity management closer together. Its development programme has focused on making cross-border transactions easier for clients to integrate into their operations, while extending the reach and responsiveness of its services.
During the year under review, JPMorgan recorded strong growth in both the value of FX transactions processed through payments channels and the number of transactions handled. This expansion accompanied a broader evolution of the business, which has moved beyond its traditional emphasis on large corporate payments to accommodate more frequent flows involving businesses, consumers and individuals.
The bank supported that shift by combining the capabilities of its payments and markets businesses.
