Rothschild & Co advised on 334 disclosed European M&A transactions in 2025, its third-best revenue year on record and a figure that beat the most active bulge-bracket competitor by 74%, according to LSEG data. Yet the firm’s senior leadership is emphatic that volume is a byproduct, not a goal.
