Côte d’Ivoire’s best transaction bank 2026: Citi

Citi expanded its transaction banking business in Côte d’Ivoire in 2025 through growth in working capital, liquidity and payments, supported by digital enhancements.

During the review period, working-capital utilisation surged by 23% to $104 million, its highest level on record. Citi expanded the use of trade and supply-chain finance across the cocoa, coffee and consumer sectors. Pre-export financing, secured against confirmed agreements with investment-grade buyers, funded crop purchases and processing.

The bank’s supply-chain finance platform enabled large buyers to extend payment terms while suppliers, including cooperatives and smallholder aggregators, received early payment.
