India’s growing importance to international investors has intensified demand for benchmarks that capture more than just the country’s largest listed companies. BSE Index Services, which operates under the BSE Indices brand, responded with one of the most ambitious periods of product development among Asia-Pacific index providers, expanding its range across broad-market, sector, factor, insurance and structured-product strategies.
The transformation followed BSE’s acquisition in 2024 of S&P Dow Jones Indices’ stake in the companies’ joint venture, Asia Index Private Limited.
