EBS, Reuters and the CME all saw an increase in turnover in September.
On EBS, average daily volume rose 5% on the previous month to $128.6 billion; on Thomson Reuters it increased by 8.6% to $126 billion; and on the CME it soared 24% to $98 billion. While the CME’s figures were distorted by the quarterly calendar roll, it must have been encouraging that September was its busiest month so far in 2009.
