Twitter: Boredom, boredom, boring boredom

If you don’t know it already, this column has a slot on Twitter https://twitter.com/theWeeklyFiX where I can apparently tweet. I really don’t get what its purpose is, so I was surprised to see one of my fellow twats (ed: is that a deliberate mistype?) post the following: “I'm using Yammer from home – the ‘corporate Twitter’ we are trialling at Deutsche Bank. Makes being away from office so much easier :-)” Is it just me, but I hate those smiley face things as well, but I guess there must be some reason.
