As part of a government reshuffle, Hamad Saud Al Sayyari, governor of the central bank of Saudi Arabia, has been replaced by the vice-governor, Muhammad Al Jasser.

As part of a government reshuffle, Hamad Saud Al Sayyari, governor of the central bank of Saudi Arabia, has been replaced by the vice-governor, Muhammad Al Jasser.

Al Sayyari had been governor since 1983, and Al Jasser had been vice-governor since 1995. Finance minister Ibrahim Al Assaf told Dubai’s Al Arabiya television that the appointment would not lead to a change in policy.
