The International swaps and derivatives association (ISDA), the derivatives industry trade body, has appointed Conrad Voldstad as chief executive officer, replacing Bob Pickel, who will move to the newly created position of executive vice chairman, effective November 30.
Voldstad is one of the pioneers of the derivatives industry, having helped build JPMorgan’s global interest rate swap group in the 1980s before moving to Merrill Lynch in 1988, where he was a member of the oversight committee responsible for liquidating Long term capital management in 1998.
