The Joint Forum, the organization established in 1996 under the aegis of the Basle Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), has announced the appointment of John Dugan as its chairman.
Dugan, who is the current Comptroller of the Currency in the United States and a member of the Basle Committee, succeeds Dirk Witteveen, executive director of the Netherlands Bank, who passed away on September 13.
