People moves: GFI beefs up EM desk

GFI is strengthening its emerging markets FX options team by moving Adam Sonin from its ACM/GFI JV wet freight derivatives business and Mark Gallagher from its G10 FX exotics desk. The two, who report to Julian Swain, head of London brokerage for GFI, will move across in the new year.

The company says they are both senior additions to the desk, which now numbers eight brokers, and that the transfer reflects its ambitions in the market.
