Authors Badenoch & Clark helpfully point out that this represents 45% of the total workforce – and add that 34% of these are often stressed, while 11% are always stressed.
Closer examination of the figures is slightly more interesting: just 45% of those in ‘professional finance’ are stressed, while the total is 54% for sales, marketing and media and a whopping 65% for HR.
Why are HR workers so stressed? Perhaps if the 55% of professional finance workers that are not stressed were aware that 65% of their HR colleagues were stressed then those 55% non-stressed would join the 45% already-stressed.
