British Telecom chooses EigerPAY for direct debit offering

British Telecom (BT), the UK communications group, is set to implement EigerPAY Gateway in a move which will provide its retail division ? BT Retail - with access to BACSTEL-IP. This will allow BT to adopt a single solution for submitting BACS' payments and consolidate the 10 systems currently used to process direct debits.

This will allow BT to adopt a single solution for submitting BACS’ payments and consolidate the 10 systems currently used to process direct debits.

Richard Gous, the BACSTEL-IP project sponsor from BT Group Treasury, explains: ?We process around 8,000,000 direct debits each month and on our busiest day alone submit up to 2,500,000 transactions.
