Computer Associates International has named Robert Davis as its new CFO after a nine-month search.
Davis, who succeeds Jeff Clarke, was most recently Dell’s vice president of corporate finance and chief accounting officer.
Clarke, a former Hewlett-Packard executive, was hired initially as CFO and promoted to be COO . He replaced Ira Zar, who pleaded guilty to criminal charges stemming from a $2.2 billion accounting scandal. Clarke will remain in the position of COO.
Davis, who has spent eight years at Dell, was named vice president for corporate finance in 2001.
