Bank of America has added five members to its European debt platform in a bid to expand its universal bank strategy in Europe.
Piyanjali Abayaratna joins the global structured finance group with responsibility for originating and structuring asset backed securities (ABS) transactions. She reports to Steven Gandy, European head of Global Structured Finance. Iftikhar Ali joins Bank of America’s Investment Grade Trading group as head of credit arbitrage trading for Europe and Asia. He will be responsible for building out the bank’s arbitrage trading capabilities for both single names and structured products.
